Moving Tote Rental Terms

Team Junk It · Rolesville, NC · Last updated September 2026

These are the rental terms for Team Junk It moving totes and equipment, written in plain language. They apply to every tote-rental booking. If anything here is unclear, call or text us before you book and we will walk through it with you.

01

What You Are Renting

  • A tote rental is equipment only. You are renting totes with lids, one furniture dolly, labels and a marker, plus delivery and pickup — and an extra hand truck if you added one.
  • You or your movers do the packing and the moving. Team Junk It does not pack, load, carry, or transport your belongings as part of a tote rental.
  • The totes and equipment stay the property of Team Junk It for the whole rental. They are rented to you, not sold.
  • Junk removal is a separate service with its own quote, schedule, and terms.
02

Payment

  • Booking and payment are handled through our Jotform booking form. Jotform processes the payment — we do not see or store your full card details.
  • The package price covers the totes, the included furniture dolly, labels and marker, and delivery and pickup within 25 miles of Rolesville, NC.
  • Prices shown do not include applicable tax.
  • Any additional charge — an extension, extra totes, or damage or loss — is explained to you and confirmed before it is processed.
03

Rental Dates

  • Your rental period is the number of weeks in your package, starting on the delivery date you select and ending on the collection date we confirm with you.
  • Delivery and collection dates are requests until we confirm them. Submitting the booking form does not by itself lock in a date.
  • Please have the totes and equipment ready and reachable on the collection date. If they are not available to collect, additional rental time may apply — and we will tell you the amount before charging it.
04

Delivery, Access, and Eligibility

  • Delivery and pickup are included in your package price within 25 miles of Rolesville, NC. Both the address we deliver to and the address we collect from need to fall inside that radius.
  • We do deliver beyond 25 miles. Those rentals are booked by phone rather than through the online form, and a fee may apply based on distance — we quote that fee to you before anything is charged.
  • We confirm both addresses before your rental is scheduled. If something does not work, we will tell you before the rental goes ahead and refund any payment already taken for it.
  • Someone needs to give us safe, legal access at both ends — a spot to park, a clear path to the drop point, and any gate, elevator, or building access we will need.
  • We leave the totes at an agreed drop point. If you ask us to leave equipment unattended, it is your responsibility from the moment it is dropped off until we collect it.
  • If we cannot get access at a scheduled delivery or collection, we will contact you to reschedule. A repeat trip may carry a charge, which we will quote to you first.
05

Extensions and Changes

  • Need more time or more totes? Contact us as early as you can.
  • Extensions and extra totes depend on availability — the same equipment is often already booked to the next customer.
  • An extension takes effect only once we confirm it and you accept the revised price. Keeping the totes past your collection date is not an extension.
06

Cancellation and Refunds

  • To cancel or reschedule, contact us by phone, text, or email as early as you can, and keep our reply as your confirmation.
  • If we cannot deliver — because of an address problem we could not resolve with you, or because of something on our end — you are refunded in full for the rental.
  • Once totes have been delivered, the rental has started. Returning them early does not automatically shorten the rental or create a partial refund.
  • Cancellation windows and any cancellation fee are confirmed in writing at booking. We will not apply a fee you were not told about beforehand.
07

What Can Go In the Totes

  • Ordinary household and office belongings are fine: clothing, linens, books, kitchenware, decor, files, small electronics, and similar items.
  • Do not put in loose or poured liquids, uncontained food, hazardous materials (fuel, propane, solvents, paint, pool or automotive chemicals, ammunition, batteries that are damaged or leaking), trash, anything carrying pests or mold, or sharp or jagged debris.
  • Ordinary nonhazardous toiletries — shampoo, lotion, cleaning spray — must be sealed shut and then placed inside a second sealed bag.
  • Maximum load is 100 lbs per tote. That is the rating the tote is built to, not a target to pack toward. Spread heavy items out.
  • The included furniture dolly and any hand truck have their own load limits, confirmed with you at delivery. Follow those limits rather than guessing.
  • Nothing illegal, and nothing that would make the totes unsafe or unsanitary for the next customer.
08

Return Condition

  • Return the totes empty, with their lids, stacked together and reachable at the collection address, along with the dolly and any hand truck.
  • Routine cleaning is included. Normal dust, scuffs, and ordinary wear from a move are expected and are not charged for.
  • Write on the labels we provide. Do not write, paint, sticker, or tape directly on the totes or lids.
  • If a tote comes back with something spilled, spoiled, or hazardous inside, that goes past routine cleaning — we will document it and explain any charge before processing it.
09

Damage and Loss

  • You are responsible for the equipment while it is in your care, including while it is with your movers.
  • You are not charged for a defect that was already there when the equipment arrived, or for equipment that fails during proper, ordinary use. Tell us if something arrives damaged.
  • If equipment is damaged beyond ordinary wear, lost, or not returned, we document it — normally with photos — and explain the charge to you before it is processed.
  • Team Junk It is not responsible for your belongings or for how they are packed, handled, or transported. The totes are containers; what goes inside them and how it travels is up to you and your movers.
10

Junk-Removal Coupon Eligibility

  • Tote-rental customers can take $25 off a normally priced junk-removal job of $200 or more, or $50 off a normally priced job of $350 or more.
  • Job minimums are measured before tax and before the discount is applied.
  • One coupon per tote-rental booking. It cannot be combined with other discounts, promotions, or account pricing.
  • The junk-removal pickup has to be completed on or before your scheduled tote collection date.
  • Junk removal is quoted and scheduled separately, and the discount applies to the junk-removal job only — not to the tote rental.
11

Questions and Contact

  • Call or text (919) 426-2876, or email [email protected]. We would rather answer a question before your move than sort it out after.
